The builds are unsigned, because a signing certificate costs money this project does not have yet. On Windows, SmartScreen hides the button behind "more info", then "run anyway". On macOS, right-click the app and choose Open the first time, or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine on the extracted folder.
In a Saves/ folder beside the executable, so the whole thing stays portable and a reinstall never quietly loses a run. Copy the folder to move a save between machines. Remember that a death moth spent is spent.
